CRYO FREEZERS FROM ARCTIKO

Posted on February 7, 2022February 8, 2022 By Matthew No Comments on CRYO FREEZERS FROM ARCTIKO

The CRYO freezers are designed for a wide variety of uses, such as research and long-term storage applications for low-temperature scientific experiments, preservation of cell cultures, bone material, DNA, bacteria etc.

Arctiko’s cryogenic freezers maintain -150°C at less than 34 kWh/24h which is a quite low energy consumption compared to similar products on the market. Furthermore, this secures lower operating cost which impacts positively to the overall cost budget.

Within research and preservation, security is pivotal. With Arctiko’s independent TRUE DUAL™ technology, your material is always secure. In the unlikely event that one cooling system should fail, the backup cooling system will maintain the freezer at -130°C. The result is superior cooling precision and uniformity.

ALTERNATIVE TO LIQUID NITROGEN STORAGE (LN2)

For a long time, liquid nitrogen has been used for cryogenic storage though it is unsafe and requires more maintenance. Today, storage in mechanical cryogenic freezers has replaced cryogenic storage in  Bio Basic Freezers and Cryogenics LN2 , which avoids cross-contamination. Arctiko is your true cooling specialist and gives you a selection of cryogenic freezers which secures your samples in a safer way with less requirements for maintenance.

BENEFITS OF CRYOGENIC FREEZERS FROM ARCTIKO

There are many benefits to choosing a cryogenic freezer from Arctiko.

Designed for long-term cryogenic preservation

A safer and more convenient alternative to LN2  cryotanks

With Arctiko’s TRUE DUAL Technology, samples are safe at all times

With less than 34 kWh/24h, the freezers have low energy consumption compared to similar products

High level of security with the optional LN2 backup system which protects the samples against power failures and unexpected problems

Immensely improved temperature uniformity compared to LN2 cryotanks

Deleted need for supply of LN2 and all the work and worries that follows

Reduced cost of ownership compared with the LN2 cryotank

Avoid potential cross-contamination that may occur with improperly stored samples

NOT IN NEED OF A CRYO FREEZERS?

The history of cryogenics goes back 150 years, and today Arctiko offers state of the art alternatives to all of your freezing needs. View our selection of -86 C ultra low temperature freezers or our blood bank refrigerator or pharmaceutical refrigerator.

Cryogenic ULT Freezers (-150°C)

PHCbi developed the world’s first -152°C ultra-low temperature freezer in 1991 in response to a growing demand for cryopreservation solutions following medical and scientific advances, such as the increased use of cryopreserved oocytes in IVF and stem cells in transplants. Since then, PHCbi has continually invested in the ongoing development of cryogenic freezers, introducing improved insulation, better refrigeration technology and alarm systems, and a bigger capacity. The latest Cryogenic MDF-C2156VAN and MDF -1156 ultra-low temperature freezers offer unparalleled safety, reliability and uniform temperatures thanks to the application of over 20 years of specialist expertise.

Cryogenic ULT Freezers (-150°C) are already in use to store:

  • Umbilical cord blood as a source of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells.
  • Stem cells for autologous transplants in patients who have undergone high dose chemotherapy.
  • Adipose tissue, epithelial cells and bone marrow for stem cell therapy.
  • Blood products for immunology analysis.
  • Mesenchymal stromal cells for regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.
  • Cancerous tissue samples.
  • Semen for artificial insemination – used for breeding guide dogs and race horses.
  • Oocytes and embryos for IVF.
  • Ovarian tissue for preserved reproductive function in women undergoing treatments.
  • Plant seeds/shoots for breeding.
  • Components for shrink fitting of parts in industrial manufacturing.
  • Temperature testing of parts in the automotive and aerospace industry.

Freezers and Cryogenics

abm offers high performance ultra-low temperature freezer and liquid nitrogen storage tank suitable to store your precious samples and laboratory reagents:

Our Ultra Low Temperature Lab Freezer offers a variety of alarm functions, ultra-thick cyclopentane foam insulation, superb heat dissipation, and a single-stage oil lubrication compressor, making this freezer is safe, reliable, and easily maintained.

Our Cryogenic Liquid Nitrogen Storage Tank uses advanced super insulation and ultra-high vacuum technology to ensure storage for up to 4 months with one fill- reducing liquid nitrogen consumption!

Cryogenic Freezers

Shop today on LabX to find a variety of new and used cryogenic freezers, ultra-low temperature, and sample freezer chests to help your lab achieve stable long-term storage and preservation of cells and tissues.

Mechanical cryo-preservation for long-term biological storage. These freezers are safer and more convenient than LN2—systems. The Thermo Scientific cryogenic freezers maintain uniform temperatures of -140° and -150°C, safely below the -130°C glass transition temperature of water. Cell viability is improved because biologically relevant, thermally driven reactions are not known to occur.
